Completion (2010)

Video installation (3 screenings of 20′ + 5 monitors of 2′-11′)

With the video installation Completion Ilke De Vries wants to create a documentary image on the completion of life. The installation focuses on the concept of time, which manifests itself as infinite during life, but in the face of death turns out to be finite. Interviews with volunteers in palliative care tell how they themselves, patients and people in general deal with the various facets of life and decay, awareness, farewell …The result is a very honest and emotional document about the last period of human life, where personal stories, experiences and emotions making the main theme.
